                                                                                                                 About Aghios Gordios Corfu.

Agios Gordios remarkable views of the beach-sea can be enjoyed. At one end lies a tiny offshore island, looking as if it has broken off the rock face and splashed into the water.                                                                               This 1km (0.6 mile) long beach has been awarded a Blue Flag.  There are sun beds and umbrellas for hire, plus water sports such as banana boats, peddle boats, canoes and motor boats. Along the beach runs a row of down-to-earth traditional tavernas and low-key cocktail bars. At the south end, a dramatic rocky outcrop known as Ortholith rises up from the sea.

In Aghios Gordios there is an authentic Greek atmosphere, and fishing and farming come ahead of tourism in the local economy.

Agios Gordios beach is a natural centre; a mile-long curving stretch of sand, shingle and pebbles, with warm shallow clear water perfect for swimming and snorkeling and safe for children. Agios Gordis is popular with families with children of all ages as well as couples and backpackers. It's unlikely to get too crowded. The beach is set in a bay between two headlands with an island at one end and a huge rock known as the Ortholith. Seafront tavern's, restaurants and a smattering of shops provide all needs without being either busy or noisy.
